Palo Santo Sticks 100% Natural Wood from Peru
Warm wood, a trace of citrus, something faintly sweet. Palo Santo has one of the most distinctive aromas in the natural world.
Light the tip, let it catch for 30 seconds, then blow it out. The smoke does the rest.
What it is
100 grams of premium Bursera graveolens Palo Santo, hand-selected from naturally fallen trees in the dry forests of northern Peru.
We only source wood that has already fallen and dried naturally on the forest floor for a minimum of four years. That time is what makes the difference. The resin concentrates, the aroma deepens, and the wood burns slowly and cleanly in a way green or freshly cut wood cannot replicate.
When burned, the scent is warm and grounding with soft notes of citrus and a subtle hint of mint.
If you’ve tried Palo Santo before and it felt flat or faint, it was likely harvested too early. Proper aging is what transforms the wood into something aromatic and enduring.
Each batch varies slightly in stick count, approximately 10 to 15 sticks, and in shape. This is not machine-sorted product. It reflects the natural variation of hand-selected wood.
How to use
Hold the stick at a 45 degree angle and light the tip. Let it burn for 30 to 60 seconds, then gently blow out the flame. Move the smoke through your space, around objects, or near yourself. One stick can be relit multiple times.
Store in the cotton bag away from moisture and direct sunlight to preserve the resin and aroma.
Where it comes from
In Peru, harvesting is regulated through government-issued permits assigned to specific communities under an approved Forest Management Plan, known as a Plan de Manejo. These permits rotate by region, allowing the forest time to regenerate and preventing overharvesting.
Luna Sundara sources exclusively through this system, working with the same trusted partners in northern Peru for over a decade.
Every shipment is SERFOR-certified. The origin is verified, the harvest is authorized, and no living trees are cut.
