Palo Santo | The Sacred Wood and it's Benefits
Palo Santo Wood and Essential Oil
Palo Santo is available in its natural form as a solid wood or as an essential oil. All Palo Santo wood can only be harvested after it has naturally fallen and left to dry for some time. Resin in the wood, which gives Palo Santo it's unique scent, eventually solidifies and the scent matures. When burned, it emits an aroma like no other. It can bring a sense of tranquility to any space.
The oil is distilled from the heartwood of the Palo Santo tree. Palo Santo is a deeply spiritual essential oil, once commonly used by the Incas to purify and cleanse the spirit from negative energies. Widely renowned for its purifying and healing powers, Palo Santo promotes protection and increased vitality. Today, the distillation process continues to promote the sustainability and reforestation of the Palo Santo Tree, by respecting the sanctity of the wood and allowing for its continued growth. Like its close botanical cousins Frankincense and Myrrh, Palo Santo oil is recognized for a myriad of powerful therapeutic properties, including the ability to uplift mood, strengthen vitality and aid in protection.
