100% pure muña essential oil (Minthostachys mollis). Steam distilled with no chemical solvents. Strong herbal, mint-forward scent with earthy undertones. Commonly used in aromatherapy and diluted topical applications.

Origin:
Peruvian Highlands. Sourced from Andean-grown muña, a plant traditionally used by Indigenous communities for its aromatic and functional properties. Sustainably harvested and distilled in collaboration with Peruvian chemists. Luna Sundara has built direct relationships with these sourcing partners.

How to use:
Dilute with a carrier oil before applying to skin. Add a few drops to a diffuser to refresh the air. Can be used in blends for massage or in natural cleaning and repellent applications. Use in small amounts due to its strong aroma.

Chemical Composition:

• 23-40% Trans Menthone
• 13-28% Pulegone
• 23% Tetradecene
• 18.5% Menthone
• 1.7% Carvone

Distillation:

This essential oil is sustainably extracted through steam distillation. No chemical solvents are involved. The oil is extracted by passing a vapor stream through the dry wood, opening its oil glands, and allowing the essential oil to mix with the steam. It is then passed through a cooling system to condense the plant’s natural essence.
