How to Brew a Cozy Cup of Palo Santo Tea

Let's make some Palo Santo tea.

Brewing a nice warm cup of Palo Santo tea is a great way to take advantage of the wood's calming and stress relieving properties. For all it's benefits, it also has a pleasant flavor that is comparable to chamomile tea and a soothing aroma. Getting started brewing a cup of Palo Santo tea is very simple.

What you will need:

  • 1 stick of Palo Santo
  • Tea Infuser (preferable one that is reusable)
  • A Sharp Knife
  • 1 Cup Boiled Water
  • Your Favorite Tea Cup

Gently shred the Palo Santo stick with a sharpened knife into tiny strips. Make sure to gather approximately 1 tbsp of Palo Santo strips. This will be enough for 1 cup of Palo Santo tea. If you are serving more than 1 cup, you can simply calculate 1 tbsp of Palo Santo strips per 1 cup.

Put the Palo Santo flakes into a tea infuser

Take the Palo Santo flakes you gathered, and put them into a tea infuser. A nice reusable tea infuser will come in handy for this step. There are a variety of tea infusers available for purchase. For this example, we are using a stainless steel tea ball infuser.

Steep the Palo Santo tea

Close your tea infuser and place it into your tea cup. Add 1 cup of boiled water and let steep for 4 to 6 minutes. You can steep the Palo Santo longer if you desire a stronger flavor. You can sweeten your Palo Santo tea with honey or your favorite raw sugar. Your relaxing cup of tea is now ready for you to enjoy.
